Access to medical expertise is reduced in remote mountain territories. On prompting by the local GP, we assessed the need for EKG holter in a rural practice, defined the actors and stakeholders, observed the present process, proposed an improved process with teleexpertise. Using SWOT we identified the main risks and tried to reduce them with the stakeholders. We deployed the improved process and verified its relevance from a medical and financial point of view.
